Short Sword from the Philippines - 6207


This very interesting sword is from the Philippines, early 20 C. or5 earlier. A Bolo shaped blade, single edged and thick and heavy, 21 inches long with a deeply clipped tip. The grip is horn carved in the shape of a human face, with brass bolster and brass “Hat” and pommel. The rondels decorations on the grips are made of Mother of Pearl. Tooled leather scabbard. Good condition. Only the tip of the scabbard is missing. Very attractive item offered her at a very low price.
