This is a classical example of the famous Khyber sword coming from Afghanistan. The heavy massive blade is 22 ½ inches long with a pronounced T spine. The bolsters and grips straps are engraved brass. The grips are ribbed horn with good age patina, Original scabbard covered with tooled leather and mounted with a long steel tip. Total length 30 ½ inches. Very good condition. Minor age shrink of the horn grips. Like in the classical swords of this type, the blade goes all the way into the scabbard and only the half upper part of the handle is exposed.
