This Tulwar sword is Indian, late 18 – early 19 C. The Blade is Persian, 27 inches long with a 6 inches raised back edge, forged from Wootz (Watered, Damascus) steel and marked with a maker sign in gold inlaid into the steel. There are also several gold stars inlaid on the blade in several spots. Cast steel handle decorated with a beautiful floral design. Total length 32 inches. Very good condition. Minor edge nicks and grinding sign on the blade.
