We offer for sale this fine Turkish Shamshir sword, with a blade forged from high contrast Persian wootz steel with strong clear pattern. Blade length 31 inches long. The grips are elephant ivory with recesses for the fingers. Grip strap cross guard and scabbard mounts are silver. Original leather covered scabbard with its original classical spiral stitching. All silver parts are stamped with the proof mark marking. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. Some dents on the silver parts.
