This sword is coming from Sumatra, mid 19 C. with an earlier, probably 18 C. European blade. The blade is 31inches long, finely fullered in the European style, may be an early military blade. The handle is horn with a beautifully carved pommel. Wood scabbard bound with white metal bands and mounted with a carved ivory mouth in the Sumatra Sikin style. Total length 39 inches. Very good condition. Blade worn.
