This fine Kard Dagger is Persian in origin, late 18 or early 19 C. The wootz (Watered, Damascus) steel blade is thick, 8 ½ inches long and finely decorated with gold inlay work. The bolster as well as the grip strap are steel with gold inlay decoration. The grips are walrus connected to the tang with concealed rivets. Total length 13 inches. Very good plus condition.
