Very Good Kaskara Sword with Snake Skin Scabbard. - 11718

Up for sale is this very good Kaskara sword, Sudan, late 19C. to early 20 C. heavy wide 37 inches long blade, very well forged with a 12 inches fuller in the center, most probably of European origin. Classical shaped hilt with heavy steel cross guard and leather bound grip. Scabbard covered with snake skin. Total length 42 inches. Good condition. Small blackened spots on the blade. The hilt cover and the scabbard snake skin are worn. |
