We offer for sale this very good Arab Jambiya dagger from Oman, early 20 C. in the royal style known as Saidi . It has a well forged, 7 ½ inches long, curved and dual edge blade with a central rib. The hilt is made of horn in the classical “I” shaped, decorated with many small silver filigree pieces. The scabbard is “L” shaped covered with fabric. The belt attachment is made of complicate arrangements of 7 silver rings and twisted silver wire (Rare style). All scabbard and hilt fittings are silver chased in a typical design. Very good condition. This dagger comes with a part of the original belt embroidered with silver strips, silver belt and old Omani (or Saudi) silver coins.
