This is a very rare African sword of the Kuba / Lula tribes residing in Central Zaire. Up to the end of the 19 C. It was used as a battle sword, but later on as a dancing implement and a weapon of prestige carried by high ranking people. To have this sword with the original scabbard is a real find for the collector of African weapons. 15 ½ inches ribed blade, wood hilt and wood scabbard bound with braided rattan strips. Very Good condition, blade with original age patina.
