This Moro Kris sword is probably an early one, mid – late 19 C. The wavy and fullered blade is of laminated core forge welded to high carbon steel edge with silver inlay decoration on the top. Silver reinforcing band secure the blade to the handle. Grip bound with gold colored metal (probably gilded silver). Cockatoo style ivory pommel. Original wood scabbard. Blade 22 inches, total 29 inches. Very good condition. Early repair on the pommel. The style and dimensions of the blade suggest the early age.
