This is a very good and typical example of the knife from the island of Crete in the Mediterranean. The T spine 7 inches blade is single edge engraved with a typical design and dated 1892 (worn dating). Handle with bone grips widening toward the pommel in a form of split ears. The bolster and grip strap are silver plated. Wood scabbard covered with brown leather. Total length in scabbard 12 inches. Very good condition. A nice late 19C typical Crete knife. .
