Kothimora, the Khukuri of the rich man are the daggers carried by nobilities and persons of high status. The handle is finely carved ivory with floral design and the bolster is brass. Wood scabbard covered with the original velvet and mounted with big finely chased silver locket and chape. A Total length 17 inches. There is a compartment for two small side knife and steel and an whole ivory khukury shaped knife.The blade curvature, the fullers and the steel bolster all indicate a late 19 - early 20C. Very good plus condition.
