Very Good Tulwar Sword from the Bikaner Armory. - 11559

This fighting Tulwar is early – mid 19 C., most probably coming from the Bikaner armory, Rajasthan, India. The laminated blade is 30 inches long with a 10 inches back edge and fullered spine. The blade is marked with Latin letters and punched dot markings on both faces of the blade. Whole e steel handle. Total length 37 inches. Very good condition. This sword comes with a newly made scabbard (not shown). The punched dot marking as well as the clean lines of the handle suggests the attribution to the Bikaner armory. The Latin letters may indicate a European made blade. |
