This very fine curved dagger is Indonesian, probably Sumatra late 19 – early 20 C. The blade is 8 inches, fullered and very well made steel. The handle and scabbard are black horn mounted with silver mounts. Finely carved pommel. Total length 11 ½ inches. Very good condition. This dagger reminds in a way the famous Arab curved dagger Jambiya and possibly evolved under influence of Arab traders in Indonesia.
