This MANDAU (sometimes also called “Parang Ihlang”) is a late 19 C. vintage with a 20 ˝ inches blade with a convex / concave cross section finely filed, engraved and decorated with brass inserts. The handle is “L” shaped, carved from bone bound with twisted silver wires. Carved wood scabbard bound with rattan strips. Total length 25 ˝ inch. Very good condition. Several brass inserts are missing.
