This Very Yataghan sword is Turkish, mid 19 C. Well forged blade with heat hardened edge, Silver on pewter Grips and bolsters and silver bolsters. Scabbard covered with blue velvet (later) and mounted with long and very nicely chased silver locket and chape. Blade 24 inches, total 32 inches. Very good condition. Minor scratches on the blade. Light damage on the right pommel ear. An impressive Yataghan sword.
