This Kard knife is Indian, late 18 – early 19 C. Finely forged wootz (Watered, Damascus) steel. Ivory grips with flared pommels set with colored stones in gold setting. Steel bolsters and grip strap with gold koftgari decoration. Velvet covered scabbard with big chased silver chape. Blade 7 inches. Total length 11 ½ inches. Very good condition. Small areas of forging flaws on the blade.
