Up for sale is this Kindjal dagger, made by Zlatoust the famous Russian blade manufacturer and which was issued to the Kuban Cossack troops in the early 20 C. 12 inches blade, etched with the Zlatoust marking and the letters ZOF (In Cyrillic letters), standing for Zlatoust Weapon Factory and KKV (also in Cyrillic letters) standing for Kuban Cossack Army) , unfortunately partially erased. The blade is dated to 1906. Horn grips with niello silver mounts. The scabbard is covered with leather (A later replacement - but old one) Steel mounts. Total length 17 ½ inches. Good condition.
