A very good Arab Jambiya dagger, early - mid 20 C. from Oman. It has a 7 ½ inches curved and dual edge blade of good steel with a pronounced central rib. The hilt is horn covered silver front panel and mounted with chased silver collar. The scabbard is “L” shaped covered with leather elaborately embroidered with silver wires, and mounted with chase silver locket en suite with the hilt mounts. The belt attachment is made of complicate arrangements of silver rings and twisted silver wire. Total length is 12 ½ inches. Very good condition. Impressive example of the famous Arab Jambiya.
