This very fine set of armor is Persian Qajar, mid 19 C. It comprises of a shield (Dahl) an helmet (Kula Kud) and a hand armor (Bazu Band). All made of steel, finely chiseled and decorated with gold and silver koftgari work. Shield 18 inches wide, helmet 7 ½, Bazu Band 12 invches long. Very good condition. Losses to the silver koftgari work. Back fabrics cover and handle are missing. Very impressive and decorative set.
