A good Arab Khanjar / Jambiya dagger, early 20 C. from Oman. It has a 6 ½ inches curved and dual edge massive blade of good steel with a pronounced central rib. The hilt is hardwood decorated with silver nails. The scabbard is “L” shaped covered with leather, embroidered with silver strips and wires, and mounted with chase silver locket en suite with the hilt collar. The belt attachment is made of complicate arrangements of silver rings and twisted silver wire. Total length is 11 inches. Original golden brocade belt. Very good condition. Minor pitted spots on the blade. The fabric on the back of the scabbard is lightly worn.
