This fine sword is Indian, Central or South India, late 18 C. The heavy curved blade is 33 inches long with a 9 inches back edge. It is forged from good wootz (Watered, Damascus) steel with good contrast. The handle is cast brass with Monster shaped pommel and monster shaped quillons and D guard tips. The grips is engraved and enameled in black and red colors. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard.
