This mid to lqte 19 C. dagger / knife is in the general shape of the Sewar knife from Sumatra, but we think it is coming from Malaya or Thailand. The blade is 5 inches long, relatively thick with a clipped tip and short silver ferrule. The edge is hard steel forge welded to the softer steel blade. The handle made of a canine tooth of a big cat, most probably a tiger. The scabbard is highly polished wood with finely carved ivory locket and ivory chape. Total length in scabbard 10 inches. Very good condition.
