This MANDAU (sometimes also called “Parang Ihlang”) is a mid 20 C vintage with a 16 inches blade with curved cross section. The handle is “L” shaped, carved from bone with braided steel wires, with tufts of colored hair on the pommel tips and a back compartment made of wood bark for additional knife. Carved wood scabbard bound with rattan strips and with a braided rattan belt. Total length 23 inch. Very good condition.
