The swords and daggers of the Baule tribe were always rare and sought after by collectors of African weapon / art. The Baule people reside in Ivory Coast and Neighboring Ghana and known to be masters of wood work and wood engraving. We offer here for sale a sword of the Baule. The blade is leaf shaped, 17 ½ inches long, 3 inches wide, well forged maintaining the original blackening of half blade on each face. The handle is carved hardwood. No scabbard. Very good condition.
