This sword is common between the Ngombe people of central Zaire. There are many legends concerning the use of this type of sword for execution. Either it is right or wrong, it is definitely a very impressive sword and always was regarded as a symbol of status. This one is of the double blade form, 25 inches long , very well forged blade. The hilt is wood, two stages type. The blade base is bound with steel strips. Very good condition. Very Impressive sword.
