Up for sale is this early 19 C. or earlier Miquelet gun, Balkan origin with typical Balkan lock covered with brass (sometime referred to as Bulgarian). Lock in working order. Heavy barrel of twisted steel with traces of gold (or brass) inlay and chiseling work. Stock mounted with chased brass mounts (somewhat crude). Barrel 27 ½ inches, total 42 inches. Good condition. Old (but cleaned and stabilized) pitted spots on the barrel. Age cracks on the stock. Heavy fighting gun that has seen action. Very low price.
