This very fine dagger is Turkish, mid 19C. The slender blade is 12 inches long, forged from fine wootz (Damascus, Watered) steel and decorated with inscription in Arabic letters on silver plated background. The handle as well as the scabbard are made from finely carved ebony. Total length 19 inches. Very good condition. Minor and almost unnoticeable repairs on the scabbard. Very impressive.
