This type of long Jambiya dagger is common in the Western regions of Arabia, Hijaz and Asir. Sometimes it is referred to by collectors as Wahabite style. The one offered here is of very good quality. The blade is finely fullered, forged from high carbon steel, 16 inches long. The grips are horn with nicely engraved silver cover on its front side. The scabbard is wood with big fine silver locket and brass chape with engraved silver plaques. Total length 22 inches. Very good condition. Blackened areas and shallow pits on the blade.
