This Barong sword is late 19 C. with the blade marked with what is probably a Chinese letter indicating the Chinese maker of the blade. The massive blade is 15 inches long, 3 inches wide. The handle is grained wood with long silver collar and braided silver band and ivory and black horn disks. The wood pommel is very finely carved. Wood scabbard with rattan binding. Total length 23 ½ inches. Very good condition. Later repairs on the scabbard. The rattan binding is recent.
