A beautiful Ceremonial / Fighting War hammer / axe of the Zaghnal family from India. The axe blade is 2 ½ inches wide. The re-curving rear blade is heavy,7 inches long with thickened mail piercing tip. Both blades are beautifully chiseled with birds in foliage scene. The wood haft is 18 inches long painted with blue, red, green and gold colors. Excellent condition. By all means a un unusual and rare item of the Indian weaponry.
