18C. South Indian Betel Nut Cutter - 11219

Not exactly a weapon but a good example of early iron work from South India. This betel nuts cutter is mid – late 18 C. or earlier, most probably from South India (Similar ones in size and style are also common in Indonesia). Whole steel work, with finely chiseled face details and decorative brass inlay work. Silver handles. Total length 12 ½ inches. Very good condition. Very good age patina on the steel.
