A sword of very good quality from the west Sahara, probably from the Mandingo tribe. Well forged blade, may be a secondary use of a European military sword, 28 inches long inscribed with figures: 14 07 16 6451 (May be a date and serial number) . Massive ivory grip with steel collar. Total length 34 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. An interesting sword from this part of the world.
