This Yataghan is mid 19 C. probably from the Balkan region of the Ottoman empire. Good unusual straight blade, 23 inches long, finely fullered and filed on the spine and marked with crisp maker mark. Walrus grips with big eared pommel. Silver grip strap and bolsters. Total length 28 inches. Very good condition. Good age patina on the ivory. Age cracks on the ivory. Grip strap is a later repair. No scabbard. Very attractive price.
