Very Good Syrian (Magdali) Jambiya Dagger - 11149


Syrian Jambiya dagger, circa 1950, made in the Druze village of Magdal Shams (Tower of the sun) in the Golan Heights, the area of dispute between Israel and Syria. Curved short, 6 inches blade etched with Arabic inscription on both faces. The handle made from layers of horn and bone with round inserts of mother of pearl and brass nails. Chased brass scabbard. Total length 10 inches. Very good condition. Very few inserts are missing on the handle. Losses to the brass cover of the scabbard.
