This style of daggers is known as Indo / Arab as it reminds in a way the Arab Jambiya and was probably carried and or traded with wealthy Arabs from central and south India. The blade is very well forged with pronounced central rib, 9 ½ inches long , very similar in shape to blades of Arab Jambiya but of better quality. The handle and scabbard mounts are chiseled and pierced gilded copper. Original scabbard with old fabric cover. Total length 12 ½ inches. Very good condition.
