Very Good Karud Dagger with Rhino Horn Hilt. Bukhara - 11057

This Karud dagger is the straight back member of the family of the Pesh-Kabz, Choora and Khyber Knife. The whole family of such daggers is common to India, Persia and several Central Asian countries. The blade is massive, well forged steel, 11 ½ inches long, with a ridged, pronounced T spine tapering to an acute tip. The grips are made from slabs of Rhino horn with clear fibrous structure, cut axially to the horn (Typical to daggers from Bukhara). The grip strap and the bolsters are steel. Total length 15 inches. Very good condition.
