Up for sale is this very good Kaskara sword, Sudan, late 19C. to early 20 C. 36 inches long blade, well forged, very well forged and finely fullered in the center, most probably of European origin. Traces of fine engraving on the blade. Classical shaped hilt with heavy steel cross guard, leather bound grip and a disk pommel. Good original leather scabbard with original harness. Total length 42 inches. Good condition. Blackened and pitted areas and some small patches of corrosion on the edge. Scabbard worn.
