Very Good Khanda / Patissa Sword - 11018

Up for sale is this very good Khanda sword, 18 C. with a 34 inches blade widening to its maximum width of 3 inches just above the tip, which is rounded in a spatula shape. Swords with this form of blade are some time called Patissa. The blade is reinforced with long decorative steel strips on the spine and a shorter one on the ricasso. The basket shape handle is classical Indian ending with a 2 inches pommel spike and the original binding of the grip. Total length 41 inches. Very good condition. The original grip binding is lightly damaged. No scabbard. A fine rare sword. Good shining age patina on all parts |
