A typical highly decorated, early 20C. shield from Ethiopia, Steel based, 18.5 inches in diameter, 7 ½ inches high, covered with red velvet and set with many pierced and engraved brass pieces all around. The inner side is also covered with fabric glured and paited with red color. Very good condition. A rare piece for the collector of African art / weapon.
