This fine Kattar dagger is Indian, late 18 to early 19 C. Finely forged Wootz (Damascus) steel blade of dark, high contrast pattern, 11 inches long, with a central rib and thickened tip. Handle side bars as well as the cross bars are finely decorated with gold koftgari work. Total length 19 inches. Very good condition. This Kattar comes with a newly made scabbard (not shown)
