This set of two knives (Trousse) is of Balkan origin, probably Bosnia, late 19 C. The big knife has a massive blade 9 ½ inches long with a 4 inches back edge, The smaller blade is of a similar shape 4 inches long with a 2 inches back edge. The handle of both knives are made of sectors of bones, partially dyed green and set with small brass inserts. Leather covered scabbard. Total length 15 ½ inches. Very good condition.
