As best as it can get: This Bichaq knife is made by Manceaux a Paris. It is made for the Turkish market, probably to be acquired by a top official or high ranking officer. It is of utmost quality in all aspects: Blade forging and silver work. The blade is forged from very fine and delicate twisted steel in the pattern known a Turkish ribbon. It is 9 inches long with gold inlay work at the base. The handle and scabbard are made from heavy silver with extremely fine chasing design. Total length 15 ½ inches. Next to excellent condition. A very fine item.
