Up for sale is this very good dagger of the Lobala people from Northern Zaire. Very typical in the blade shape and wood handle. The blade is 14 inches long 4 ½ inches wide, spearhead shape with a central fuller and with the original patina of blackened center. The handle is wood bound with copper strips. This dagger comes with its original scabbard, wood covered with black hide and bound with steel strips. Very good condition. Partially damaged scabbard on one side. Rare to find these swords with the original scabbard.
