This Saif is a very rare version of Arab sword from the South Arabian Peninsula. A fine heavy sword, with a 29 inches long single edge fullered blade with a 9 inches back edge. The hilt and cross guard are whole silver in a typical form reminding in a way the hilt of the Moroccan Nimcha sword. The scabbard is wood covered with black leather with big silver locket and chape. Total length 35 ½ inches. Very good condition. Minor blackened spots on the blade (but no pitting). Some minor losses to the leather. A fine piece.
