This Billao dagger is late 19 Century and comes from the coastal people of Somalia. It has a classical non-symmetrical leaf shape blade, 9 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide. The handle is made of two sections of horn separated by layers of brass / steel . The pommel is of a typical three pronged shape made of steel as well. Original hide scabbard. Total length 16 inches. Very good condition. Blackened areas on the blade. Minor bugs damage on the handle. Belt missing.
