Very Good and Heavy Fighting Kora Sword, Nepal - 10888

Kora swords were used in Nepal and North India for both fighting and sacrificial processes. They are quite similar, only the sacrificial sword is wider and heavier. This one is basically a fighter of very good quality. Heavy, down curving swolen blade with its deadly sharp edge on the concave side, enhanced T spine and wide heavy tip. 22 inches blade, more than ˝ inch thick and 4 inches wide at the tip. The blade is marked with might be interpreted as a styled “eye lashes” marking, a mark of quality common on many swords from many areas. The tip is marked with a styled sun talisman marking. Classical handle with cylindrical grip and wide disk shaped pommel and cross guard. Total length 29 ˝ inches. Very good condition. No scabbard.
