This dagger is Indian, probably North India, mid to late 18 C. Fine wootz (Damascus, Watered) steel blade 9 ½ inches long with partially serrated edges. Steel grip with gold koftgari work. Total length 13 inches. Very good condition. Original dark and shining patina on the handle. Original etching on the blade. Some losses to the gold inlay on one side of the handle.
