This fine small Jambiya (or Khanjar) dagger is Persian. The fine wootz quality suggest a dating of early 19 or late 18 C. Blade 8 inches with pronounced central rib and reinforced edges. The upper part of the blade is inlaid with traces of gold inlay. The whole steel handle and scabbard are nicely chiseled as well. Total length 13 inches. Very good condition.
