A very good late 18 or early 19C. Balkan rifle also known as boyliya, with Miquelet lock and 45 inches long barrel. The barrel is bound with four chased silver bands. The lock is covered with silver sheet, partially damaged. The stock is heavily decorated with brass rondels and inlaid with pieces of Mother of pearl in a typical Albanian style. Ramrod included. Total length 60 inches. A very similar rifle is sown in:R. Elgood Firearms of the Islamic World p. 93. Very Good condition. Mechanism fully working. Few brass / MOP pieces are missing
